Naturist implies you are clothes-free aficionados.
Lone individuals or textiled "gawkers" are not admitted.

The problem is getting here. Xcalak is very remote so unless you are already staying in
the area it's a long way to travel for just day use. If you are staying in one of the big
All-Inclusive resorts on the Mayan Riviera it really isn't practical to drive so far for
such a short visit (3 hour drive from Tulum, 4 hrs from Playa del Carmen). But
occasionally we're asked by Nudists who are sailing on a cruise ship if they can
visit for the day when their ship calls at the Costa Maya Port in Mahahual.

Playa Sonrisa is located approximately one hour drive time south of the port.
You will need to hire the taxi for a round trip and request for the driver to
stand by for your return so you do not risk missing your sailing time.
Depending on your negotiating skills this should cost ~$120 US total.
(Tip - don't pay until you get back to port - on time!)

Apparently the cost / benefits compare favorably to other shore excursion options
as we do have a few couples every season who choose to erase some tan lines.
But be forewarned - a day spent au natural in such a tranquil paradise will
make it very difficult to return to the commotion of the Big Ship Lotsafolks
... and swimsuits.
